Full Description

Silvia has been practicing yoga for 41 years. She started her practice in Argentina, her native country, studying Shivananda and Yengar yoga styles.  Silvia was certified as a Bikram yoga instructor in 1995 and received her training Certificate for the Bikram Advanced Class in 1997.  She is currently teaching yoga privately and at several schools in the Broward and Palm Beach Counties in Florida. She guides beginners and advanced students through the learning process of building the asanas with the steadiness of a strong foundation and good alignment; reaching the fulfillment of the postures through the awareness of breathing and fluidity of movement.

Private Practice

Silvia has a private practice as an Ayurveda Consultant and offers lectures on Ayurveda Principles with the purpose of educating people towards the path of natural healing and ayurveda yoga.

Ayurvedic medicine is oriented towards following a simple way of living. “Ayurveda” originated from two Sanskrit names: “ayu” meaning life and “veda” meaning knowledge.  Ayurveda is the “Medicine of Life”.

Ayurveda is a system of medicine implementing the use of natural foods, herbs and oils.  Ayurveda treats clients with methods close to nature, based on the theory that the universe is composed of five elements: space, air, fire, water and earth.  These five elements are components of our internal body and mind.  They are manifested within our bodies through three energies, or doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.  The act of daily living may alter our innate body functions as these three energies are in constant fluctuation.

Ayurveda treats the root cause of disease while also treating the mind and body simultaneously. Ayurveda identifies the innate energies of each client and assesses any deviation.  Specific foods, herbs and oils are used to bring the mind and body back to its original dosha.  Ayurveda includes the use of color therapy, reiki, cranial therapy, gem stone therapy, yoga and meditation.
